WBA: Stop fake bearings
WBA, which stands for World Bearing Association, is the association of leading bearing manufacturers worldwide, founded in 2006. WBA is a non-profit and unincorporated industry association promoting common and legitimate interests of the bearing industry such as environmental protection and counterfeit protection. With this joint initiative, the participating companies like Koyo, Nachi, NSK, NTN, Schaeffler, SKF and Timken are fighting against product piracy. They hope to educate the industry and its customers on how to detect fake bearings, buy securely and work with the appropriate law enforcement authorities to prevent counterfeits. The following video provides a good introduction into the background and goals of the World Bearing Association.
